Pear orchards: 591.50 euros per hectare for sanitary pruning against fire blight, applications until 4 September

Eligible applicants are individuals or legal persons carrying on agricultural activity, as well as non-profit legal persons whose objects include the development of services connected with agriculture, holding pear orchards in the parishes delimited by the order of the Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary Affairs defining the areas contaminated by Erwinia amylovora. The support finances two rounds of sanitary pruning in the orchard. Approved operations must begin by 15 October 2026 and be completed by 31 January 2027. Applications are submitted electronically through the Agriculture Funds Desk. Ref.: notice of the 1st call under intervention C.4.1.2 “Prevention of natural disasters and catastrophes” of the mainland PEPAC, released on 22/07/2026; Ministerial Order No. 214/2026/1 of 11 May — deadline 04/09/2026.

Underperforming eucalyptus stands: 15 million euros for replanting, applications until 30 September

The call is addressed to individuals or legal persons, public or private, holding or managing manifestly underperforming Eucalyptus spp. stands in mainland Portugal, excluding areas covered by Integrated Landscape Management Operations under way on 1 January 2026. It finances the recovery of those stands through replanting with the same or another species, with a view to improving the economic value of the forest. The support takes the form of a non-repayable grant and the information released indicates an allocation of 15 million euros, with projects to be completed within 24 months of acceptance of the application. The submission period has been running since 30 June 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026, with submission through the Agriculture Funds Desk. This is the first call under this intervention, part of the 177 million euros in additional calls the mainland PEPAC planned to launch in the second half of 2026. Ref.: Notice No. AG PEPACC/Aviso 01/C.3.2.6/2026, opened on 30/06/2026; Ministerial Order No. 120/2026/1 of 19 March — deadline 30/09/2026.

Swordfish fishery: 100% compensation for 60 days of tie-up, on the mainland and in the Azores, until 29 October

Beneficiaries are the owners of vessels licensed for the fishery directed at swordfish, and their crews, in mainland Portugal and in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, under Order No. 39/DG/2026 of 16 June of the Director-General of the DGRM. The support compensates loss of income arising from temporary cessation of activity for 60 consecutive days, within a period running from 1 July to 30 October 2026, subject, among other requirements, to at least 120 days at sea in the two preceding calendar years. The public support rate is 100%, co-financed 70% by the EMFAF and 30% by the State Budget, with an indicative fund allocation of 1,260,000.00 euros and national counterpart funding of 540,000.00 euros. Compensation to the vessel owner is calculated by applying a coefficient of 0.29 to the vessel daily income in 2025, multiplied by the days of tie-up, while wage compensation is the guaranteed minimum monthly remuneration of 920 euros divided by 30 and multiplied by the days of tie-up. Applications opened on 19 August 2026 at 09:00 and close on 29 October 2026 at 18:00, through the Funds Desk; the application must be submitted before the end of the tie-up. Ref.: Notice No. MAR2030-2026-22 of 18/08/2026; Decree-Law No. 20-A/2023 of 22 March, as amended by Decree-Law No. 165/2026 of 13 August, and Order No. 39/DG/2026 of 16 June — deadline 29/10/2026 at 18:00.
