Azores: “Pequenos Negócios” gives micro and small enterprises non-repayable grants — next phase closes 31 August
The 3rd “Pequenos Negócios” call under Açores 2030 supports micro and small enterprises with a seat or establishment in the Region — including accommodation, restaurants and tourist animation — for investment projects between €5,000 and €75,000 (works, equipment, software, tourist-animation vehicles). The grant is non-repayable: 50% in São Miguel and Terceira, 55% in Faial, Pico and rural São Miguel municipalities, 60% in the remaining islands, with a performance bonus of up to +10% (maximum €52.5k per application). The budget is €15M ERDF and applications run in monthly phases on the Balcão dos Fundos: the next closes on 31/08/2026 (5 p.m., Azores time), followed by 30/09, 30/10 and 30/11.

Mainland fruit growers: support for fire blight prevention in pear orchards until 4 September
Applications are open, under the mainland CAP Strategic Plan (PEPAC), for producers with pear orchards located in the contaminated zones defined by DGAV order. The support funds two sanitary containment prunings against the bacterium Erwinia amylovora, to be carried out by 31/01/2027, through a simplified unit cost of €591.50 per hectare treated. The budget is €5M and submissions are made on the Balcão dos Fundos da Agricultura.

“Crescer com o Turismo”: €30M on a rolling basis until the end of 2026 (nationwide, including the Azores)
The Turismo de Portugal programme funds the enhancement of tourism resources, smart destination management, accessibility and capacity-building, with rolling applications until 31/12/2026 or until the budget is exhausted. Beneficiaries: public entities, non-profit entities and — for social innovation projects or those within PROVERE strategies — SMEs. The rate is 60%, increased by +20 p.p. in low-density territories; non-repayable support up to €400k (public/non-profit) or €200k (companies), with a possible repayable component up to €1M. Young fishers: MAR 2030 supports buying a first vessel at 40-100%
The Mar 2030 call for the start-up of young fishers remains open on a rolling basis — for those aged up to 40 with recognised qualifications for professional fishing. Support covers the first acquisition, in whole or in part (minimum 33%), of a vessel registered in a national port, the acquisition of equivalent shareholdings and the creation of one’s own company, with a €4.3M budget and public support rates between 40% and 100%. Applications on the Balcão dos Fundos until 31/12/2027. Note: the mainland PEPAC call plan foresees €177M in new calls in the second half of 2026 — we will track the openings.
